Our Story

The Happy Diner isn’t your average diner, unlike some other restaurants “Once you have it, you’ll love it”. 

Back on July 20th, 2011 a family owned restaurant was born in San Pedro, California. Their mission was to make great food that’ll make everyone happy.

Two brothers, Omar and Roman Carrillo had a vision of cooking great food as well as doing what they both do best, “create fresh and delicious food”. With years of experience and passion in the food industry, Happy Diner was created to make everyone part of the Happy Diner family as soon as you walk in through the door.

From omelettes, pancakes, and hot cereals. From Mexican plates, Italian dishes and more on the menu. The diner also loves to create dishes in honor of our amazing daily customers. Many locals and visitors love the great ambience and cuisines of chef Omar! 

Happy Diner has been blessed and honored with the award of restaurant of the month and restaurant of the year. Above all, Happy Diner remains committed to providing excellent service while treating every customer with care and respect.
